Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how getyouripo.com ("GetYourIPO", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data through getyouripo.com, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). For the purposes of that Act, we are the Data Fiduciary.
1. What we collect
Only what you choose to submit in our forms:
- Company application: company name, your name, work email, phone, sector, approximate issue size, and a description of your business and IPO plans.
- Merchant Banker registration: firm name, SEBI registration number, contact person, work email, phone, and your areas of focus.
- Advisor registration: your name, designation, firm or practice name (optional), email, phone, and, if you choose to introduce a company, that company's name, contact person, email, phone, sector, approximate issue size and your notes. By submitting a company's details you confirm you have its permission to share them with us.
- Discovery call request: your name, email, phone, preferred time, and your message.
We also record the page address the form was submitted from and the time of submission. We do not ask for financial account numbers, passwords or government ID numbers through these forms, and ask that you do not send them.
2. Why we use it
- To review your application or registration and respond to you.
- To arrange a discovery call you requested.
- To verify that a Merchant Banker holds a valid SEBI registration.
- To keep records needed to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give by ticking the consent box on each form.
3. Who sees it
Submissions are stored in a Google Sheet that only authorised members of our team can open, and notifications are sent to our team's email. These providers process data on our behalf: Google (storage and email) and Cloudflare (website hosting and security). Company information is confidential. We do not disclose a company's name or contact details to any Merchant Banker unless the company itself chooses to engage that banker. Before that, Merchant Bankers may see only an anonymised teaser that does not identify the company. Advisors may submit an introduction without naming the company.
Merchant Bankers do not see your company's name or contact details by default; they see only an anonymised teaser. We will share identifying details with a Merchant Banker only with your consent and, where you or the banker require it, under a non-disclosure agreement.
We do not sell personal data.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as needed for the purposes above, and then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
5. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, erase it, or withdraw your consent at any time. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to. To make a request, write to contact@getyouripo.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before you withdrew it.
6. Grievances
If you have a concern about how your data is handled, please write to our grievance contact at contact@getyouripo.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to submissions is restricted to authorised people. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical measures for security and performance.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
